Membership Appreciaton Event - 2009

The Blackstone River Watershed Association held a Member Appreciation event on October 24, 2009 at River Bend Farm Visitor Center in Uxbridge, MA. The scheduled hike to Outlook Rock was cancelled due to heavy rains but National Park Service Ranger Chuck Arning was there to speak about The Changing Landscape - From the Time of Metacomet to the Building of the Canal to the Gilded Age & Today. Ranger Chuck is recognized for his knowledge of the history of the Blackstone Canal and the Blackstone Valley. He spoke of the adaptation of the landscape to the needs of man.
